Special Trigg Bicentennial Envelopes And Cancellations Available Friday

Even though the COVID-19 pandemic has forced the cancellation of numerous events tied to the bicentennial of Trigg County, a unique opportunity will take place Friday.

The Cadiz-Trigg County, Kentucky Bicentennial Facebook page reports a commemorative envelope will be available for sale. The envelope is $3 and can be found at Fourshee Building Supply or the Trigg County Tourism Center, once it reopens.

The envelope will be stamped and canceled with the bicentennial cancellation and depicts the old Trigg County Court House that burned in 1920.

Additionally, the Cadiz Post Office will be canceling letters on Friday only with the special Trigg County Bicentennial Stamp. If you would like your envelope canceled you must stop by the post office and request it. The post office says you must bring your own envelope – the cancellation is free but you must have an uncancelled stamp affixed to the letter.
