Hopkinsville High Student Selected For GSA Program

A junior at Hopkinsville High School has been named to the 2020 Class of the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts (GSA).

Christian County Public Schools Communications Director John Rittenhouse says Jared Chance-Martin was one of 256 students selected to attend the prestigious program. Chance-Martin was among 1,400 students who applied for the program that begins on June 28 and lasts three weeks.

GSA serves as an opportunity for scholars to learn and grow in their field of talent from professionals. He was selected to play on the Euphonium and will be in the Instrumental Music discipline.

GSA works with students in nine art disciplines of Architecture/Design, Creative Writing, Dance, Drama, Instrumental Music, Musical Theatre, Film/Photography, Visual Art, and Vocal Music.
