HOPFAME Application Deadline Extended

Prospective Hopkinsville Community College students interested in a career in advanced manufacturing will have an additional month to apply for the HOPFAME program.

The college announced Tuesday the deadline has been extended to June 1. They add HOPFAME is their chapter of FAME USA, a nationally recognized, workforce training, program. It provides students with a work and learn experience through a partnership between the school and 20 regional manufacturers.

Students are chosen through a selective admissions process, which includes interviews with sponsoring employers. Anyone who successfully completes the program earns an associate’s degree in industrial maintenance technology while earning a competitive wage with an employer.

The application and more information about the program can be obtained here or by emailing HOPFAME Success Coach Tara Rascoe at tara.rascoe@kctcs.edu.

The school will also host a Facebook Live Q&A session on the HOPFAME page with Assistant Professor Stuart Zieman Thursday at 6:00 PM.
