Gateway Academy’s VEX Robotics Team 8349E is the state champion for the second year in a row, according to Christian County Public Schools spokesman John Rittenhouse. He says the team is also the state Skills Champion.
In addition, Rittenhouse says Gateway Team 8349K is the state Design Award Winner for the Best Engineering Notebook and Robot Design.
He adds this year’s tournament results were determined by calculating the tournament statistics from the competitive season.
Team 8349E consists of McKay Dunn, Calvin Demps, Danny Macario, and Eric Barrett.
Team 8349K is comprised of Will Knight, Yeffrey Macario, John Tyler Schmitt, and Jarod Pogue.
