Severe Weather Possible Sunday Afternoon And Evening

The National Weather Service says forecast models are showing Western Kentucky could experience severe weather Sunday afternoon and evening.

According to the Hazardous Weather Outlook, there is a threat for thunderstorms, some of which may be strong to severe during the late afternoon and evening hours on Sunday. The greatest threat for severe storms at this time looks to be across western Kentucky. Damaging winds, torrential rainfall, and lightning appear to be the primary concerns.

Heavy rainfall amounts may cause some flooding issues, mainly Sunday afternoon and evening. Currently, the highest amounts are forecast over southern portions of western Kentucky where 2+ inches may occur.
