Deadline Extended For JSH Bell Scholarship Applications

Applications for the Jennie Stuart Health Henry R. Bell, MD Scholarship Fund has been extended.

According to Jennie Stuart Health officials, four $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to high school students from Christian, Todd, and Trigg counties interested in the healthcare field. Students in these counties are welcome to apply and applications are available online by clicking here. All applications must be received by June 30. Officials say the selected winners will be notified by mail. All applicants must include a copy of their high school transcript from the last school attended and submitted with one letter of recommendation from a non-relative.

Officials say the Bell Scholarship Fund awards scholarships based on the students’ motivation and financial needs. The fund was established by the Medical Staff and the Jennie Stuart Medical Center Board of Trustees in honor of Dr. Henry R. Bell, who was a family practice physician at the hospital for a number of years. The physician also founded the Bell Clinic in Elkton.
