HCCPL Extending Due Dates For Books And DVDs

The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library has fielded a lot of calls concerning late fees since they announced a closure last week.

Executive Director DeeAnna Sova tells the News Edge if you have checked out a book or DVD before March 18, they are not due back until Monday, April 6.

Sova adds Kentucky Unbound, which manages the OverDrive and Libby apps are offering free services until further notice.

In addition, Sova asks that anyone participating in spring cleaning and has books to donate to refrain from doing so until they reopen.

Any other questions for the library can be sent to the library on Facebook, Instagram or by emailing Sova at director@hccpl.org.

Sova hopes the library will reopen by Monday, March 30, but adds they will remain closed until Governor Andy Beshear deems it’s safe to reopen.
