Marsy’s Law Passes Kentucky Senate

A bill and proposed constitutional amendment known as Marsy’s law is one step closer to passage by the Kentucky General Assembly.

Senate bill 15 passed the Kentucky Senate Tuesday 31 to 6. Third district State Senator Whitney Westerfield says this version of the law is similar to the one that passed two years ago.

Marsy’s law now heads to the Kentucky House of Representatives for debate in the Judiciary Committee that is chaired by Representative Jason Petrie of Todd County.
