Trigg Planning Commission Approves Cadiz RV Park Findings

The proposed Cadiz RV Park is one step closer to becoming reality and now goes for approval by Cadiz City Council next month.

During a special called meeting of the Cadiz-Trigg County Planning Commission Thursday evening, members approved the finding of facts for the property located at approximately 520 Rocky Ridge Road/Kentucky 276.

Commission Chairman Bob Brame says the property meets all of the standards they are looking for to possibly be annexed into the city.

The commission approved a motion to ask the city to make the property a B-2 if they choose to annex the property into the city limits. The vote was approved unanimously, with Gary Blakley abstaining from voting, as he was not a part of the fact findings.

As we have previously reported, Exchange Enterprises, Inc. ran by Scott Jolly is asking for the property to be annexed into the city of Cadiz. The property is located behind McDonald’s and adjacent to Refuge Church, with Jolly stating they are simply looking to operate an RV park. He adds they would like to be an option for people looking to pull off Interstate 24 and not drive very far to park their recreational vehicles.

Since the request was approved by the commission, it will now make its way to Cadiz City Council for approval.
