The Christian County Public School District will be accepting Early Student Entrance requests for incoming kindergarten students.
According to Senate Bill 24, school officials say the birthday cutoff date for kindergarten is August 1, meaning incoming kindergarten students must have turned five years old before or by August 1st to enroll for the 2020-2021 school year.
In response to requests for early student entrance to school, the Christian County Board of Education enacted an Early Entrance Policy that outlines a process in which parents and guardians may take to request their child enter school earlier than the August 1st date.
The deadline to submit written requests is March 21, 2020.
