A student who will graduate from Hopkinsville High School this year and is participating in Gatton Academy has been named a National Merit Finalist.
J.B. Morse II, who has been attending classes at Western Kentucky University for the last two years, was named among thousands of students selected this week. Morse scored a 36 on his ACT during his Freshman year and again his Junior year. When he graduates with his classmates at HHS, he will have around 65 college hours toward his Bachelor’s degree.
The mission of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation is to recognize and honor the academically talented students of the United States.
