AAA Predicting Record-Breaking Travel This Holiday Season

A record number of Americans are expected to travel this holiday season.

AAA spokesman Jim Garrity says more than 115 million people will travel this holiday season, from Sunday, December 21 through Wednesday, January 1.

According to Garrity, they attribute the increase in travel to historically low levels of unemployment and the economy.

Garrity says they are projecting the busiest travel days on the road will be the two days following the Christmas holiday.

AAA projects they will rescue more than 853,000 motorists this holiday season.

AAA projections are based on economic forecasting and research by a London-based business information provider.
