Two Trigg County organizations were the recipients of donations following a 5K fundraiser Saturday morning.
During a presentation at Cadiz City Hall Monday morning, the Trigg County Helping Hands Food Bank and the Beta Nu Cadiz chapter were each given $1,000 from the Jingle Bell Jog.
Helping Hands Co-Chair K. G. Ariagno says the donation will go to help families in need during the holiday season.
Mindy Hargrove from the Beta Nu Cadiz chapter adds their donation will go to help 26 angels who were not picked off of the Angel Trees this year.
Hargrove notes they had over 200 angels this year and thanks the community for their support.
The Jingle Bell Jog was hosted by the City of Cadiz and began at the Trigg County Senior Citizens Center.
Donations to the Helping Hands of Trigg County can be mailed to P.O. Box 1874, Cadiz, Kentucky 42211 or dropped off at Hancock’s Neighborhood Market.
Donations to the Beta Nu Cadiz chapter can be dropped off at any Cadiz banking locations (Bank of Cadiz, FNB, or First Financial) or by calling Mindy Hargrove at (270) 881-8845.
