Woman Injured In Logan County Wreck Tuesday

A Hopkinsville man was involved in a two-vehicle wreck in Logan County that sent one person to the hospital for treatment.

Russellville Police report the wreck occurred Tuesday morning just before 9:30 at the intersection of West 9th Street and the U.S. 68/80 Bypass. Officers determined 37-year old Robert Matlock of Hopkinsville failed to yield to oncoming traffic as he turned eastbound off of the bypass onto West 9th Street and collided with a car driven by 76-year old Marilyn King of Adairville.

Police say a passenger in King’s vehicle, 58-year old Patsy Hale of White House, Tennessee, complained of knee pain and was transported by ambulance to NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield. Both King and Matlock were cleared by EMS on the scene and refused transport.
