Hopkinsville Man Charged With DUI After West 7th Street Crash

A Hopkinsville man was charged with DUI after a wreck on West 7th Street that led to the road being blocked as a utility pole was replaced Thursday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say no one was injured when an SUV driven by 26-year-old John Perrine crossed into the opposite lane of traffic hitting 38-year-old Brandon Thomas of Clarksville’s truck then a utility pole and the front porch of a home near Rose Drive.

The road remained blocked for several hours in the area as the utility pole was replaced.

Synthetic drugs and a pipe were reportedly found in Perrine’s SUV and he was charged with DUI and cited for not having insurance.
