Assault, Wanton Endangerment, Fleeing Indictments Returned By Grand Jury

The Christian County Grand Jury returned indictments Friday for assault, wanton endangerment, strangulation and fleeing from police.

Adrian Murray

21-year old Adrian Murray of Oak Grove was indicted for first-degree assault, two counts of wanton endangerment, first degree fleeing or evading police, along with charges of trafficking marijuana and cocaine while armed. Oak Grove Police arrested Murray in September for his alleged involvement of a woman being shot multiple times on Meridians Way last year. He reportedly fled from officers multiple times when they tried to arrest him. When he was taken into custody in September, police said he was found with 29 grams cocaine and over 10 ounces of marijuana, along with plastic baggies, digital scales and $174 cash.

Isaiah Henderson

The grand jury indicted 18-year old Isaiah Henderson of Hopkinsville for first degree attempted assault after police reported he fired a gun at a victim as he ran away after the two had gotten into a physical fight on Long Street in September. Police said the victim was uninjured in the incident.

Richard Rippeon Jr.

46-year old Richard Rippeon, Jr. of Hopkinsville was indicted for third-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree assault of EMS/Fire/Rescue Squad, resisting arrest and DUI with an aggravator and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle. Police reported Rippeon was found passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle with the key in the ignition on July 29 and when firefighters and officers tried to help him, he became aggressive and hit an officer and firefighter. Officers were able to arrest Rippeon after he was tased. Police reportedly found multiple beers inside the vehicle.

Jesse Mattson

The grand jury indicted a Fort Campbell soldier, 20-year old Jessee Willem Mattson of Oak Grove, for first-degree wanton endangerment, fourth-degree assault – domestic violence, and second-degree unlawful imprisonment. The charges stem from July 5th when Oak Grove Police reported Mattson and his wife got into an altercation and he pointed a loaded AR-15 rifle at her and prevented her from leaving the home until he eventually passed out.

Hugh Ford

42-year old Hugh Allen Ford of Hopkinsville was indicted for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and second-degree strangulation. Ford was arrested on September 17 after Hopkinsville Police reported officers responded to Sanctuary where a female victim said Ford put his hands around her neck and choked her at his residence on Howell Street. Police said the victim, who had cuts and marks on her neck and face, stated she and another female were held against their will at Ford’s home. When officers went to the residence, no one was inside but they reportedly found a 9mm handgun and a 12 gauge shotgun in plain sight. During a criminal history check, officers learned Ford was a convicted felon. According to police, when Ford was questioned he admitted to putting his hands around the victim’s neck and choking her while they were physically fighting.

Stephane Watson

And the grand jury indicted 23-year old Stephane Malik Watson of Hopkinsville for first degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, first-degree strangulation, and fourth-degree assault – domestic violence. The charges are in connection to an alleged verbal argument on August 23rd that turned physical between Watson and a female victim when he wouldn’t let her leave. The victim reportedly told police Watson pushed to the ground and put his hands around her throat neck and then hit her.
