Fiscal Court Awaits Funding For County Paving Projects

At the Christian County Fiscal Court meeting Tuesday morning, magistrates approved authorization for Judge-Executive Steve Tribble to sign a memorandum of agreement and resolution for discretionary funds to pave four roads in the county.

After getting approval for magistrates at last month’s meeting, Judge Tribble said paving for two county roads has been delayed because they are still waiting on state officials to sign the paperwork for the flex funds.

He added the approval of the discretionary funds agreement and resolution approved by magistrates Tuesday morning is for funding to pave four county roads.

In other business, magistrates approved surplus from the sheriff’s office of a 2008 Dodge Charger, furniture and other items from the CASA building, and a bush hog belonging to the road department. County Treasurer Walter Cummings says the surplus items and equipment will be sold at an auction on October 18th.

The next fiscal court meeting will be Tuesday morning, October 22, at 8:30.
