Craig Wins Big During Local Distinguished Young Women Program

The Distinguished Young Women of Christian County hosted their annual scholarship program and awarded $5,000 to local high school students Sunday afternoon.

Rachel Craig took home the title of 2020 Distinguished Young Woman of Christian County. She tells the News Edge it was wonderful to win the competition.

 

Craig did ballet during the talent portion of the show.

 

Craig won $2,000 in scholarship money and says it took a lot of preparation to get ready for the competition.

 

Craig notes she’s ready to represent Christian County during the 2020 Distinguished Young Women of Kentucky Scholarship Program in Lexington on January 10 and 11.

Craig is a senior at University Heights Academy in Hopkinsville and the daughter of Amy and Nate Craig.
