Negotiations Continue In Catlett’s Manslaughter Case

A pretrial conference in the manslaughter case against a Hopkinsville woman accused in the death of her infant son over two years ago was continued until next week.

According to court records, a pretrial conference for Desiree Catlett was scheduled for Wednesday morning but was continued until Wednesday morning, August 7, at 8:30. Catlett’s attorney, Public Defender Eric Bearden and Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Boling are reportedly continuing to work to resolve the case.

Catlett is charged with second-degree manslaughter in the death of her 10-month old child, who police say was found not breathing at her home in Evergreen Park in October 2016.

Catlett’s case went to trial in Christian Circuit Court in April 2018 but ended in a mistrial.
