A dog was killed and a home was severely damaged in a house fire on Twyman Square Friday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Deputy Chief Steve Futrell told the News Edge at the scene a woman was home at the time of the fire but was able to get out safely.
The home was severely damaged in the fire and the cause of the fire remains unknown.
