Alan Watts Reports From Washington Watch 2019

A number of interesting speakers discussed issues from trade to conservation during the 2019 National Association of Farm Broadcasting’s Washington Watch program in Washington, DC.  News and Farm Director Alan Watts is among the farm broadcasters on hand for this year’s event.

Alan spoke with First District Congressman James Comer Monday, May 13, at the Congressman’s Washington office.

Tuesday, May 14th, farm broadcasters heard from a number of officials at the United States Department of Agriculture.  Farm Service Agency Administrator Richard Fordyce provided a number of updates during his remarks.

 

Under Secretary Ted McKinney discussed a number of issues including trade negotiations with China, the North America Mexico and Canada trade deal and a number of other issues.

 

Under Secretary Bill Northey discussed trade, farmer assistance, E-15 and industrial hemp among other topics.
