Two Charged After Wreck In Christian County

Two Hopkinsville men were arrested after a wreck at the intersection of Fort Campbell Boulevard and Interstate 24 exit 86 Sunday morning.

Christian County deputies say 26-year-old Bryon Bell was found at Denny’s on Fort Campbell Boulevard after a wreck just before 2 a.m. and told deputies he had been drinking at a party and was driving a vehicle involved in the wreck.

He reportedly failed multiple sobriety tests. He also attempted to hide a gun in the floorboard of the vehicle.

42-year-old Datorian Casewell was also involved in the wreck and when he learned law enforcement was called he fled into a field, The vehicle he was in had been reported stolen from a rental company at Nashville International.

Casewell is charged with receiving stolen property and leaving the scene of an accident.

Bell was charged with DUI second-offense, tampering with physical evidence, carrying a concealed weapon, failure of owner to maintain required insurance, license to be in possession and leaving the scene of an accident.
