UPDATE- Man Arrested After Hopkinsville Pursuit Facing More Charges

Kentucky State Police have released more information and additional charges lodged against a man that led officers on a pursuit through Hopkinsville Tuesday night after a shots fired call on East 18th Street.

KSP Post 2 in Madisonville reports Trooper Hunter Carroll was in the area assisting Hopkinsville Police with a shots fired complaint shortly after 10:00 when he saw a black SUV with no headlights and taillights illuminated turn from East 18th Street onto Walnut Street. Trooper Carroll activated his emergency equipment to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle fled and continued onto several streets before running off the road near a cemetery on Moores Court. The vehicle then slid down an embankment and crashed into a woodline where it became disabled. The suspect, 61-year old Creadell Hubbard, was taken into custody without incident. The report notes police vehicles were damaged during the pursuit.

State Police report Hubbard was wearing a ballistic vest and was in possession of multiple firearms which Hopkinsville Police identified as a .40 caliber handgun, an AR-15 rifle, and restricted ammo.

Hopkinsville Police charged Hubbard with possession of a handgun by convicted felon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, using restricted ammunition during a felony and receiving stolen property.

In addition, State Police charged Hubbard with first degree fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle, first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, reckless driving, criminal mischief, along with vehicle and traffic-related offenses.

According to State Police, Hubbard was also served two warrants, one of which had been obtained by the U.S. Marshals Office.

Hubbard was lodged in the Christian County Jail.

Hopkinsville Police are continuing to investigate the initial shots fired complaint.
