Autumn Neblett

Authorities have identified the three other suspects arrested and charged in connection to a robbery and an officer shooting in Hopkinsville early Monday morning.

Hopkinsville Police Department Public Information Officer Mike Atkins reports 24-year old September Neblett was charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000 and first-degree robbery (complicity); 25-year old Autumn Neblett was charged with first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and receiving stolen property under $10,000; and, 19-year old Anthony Johnson was charged with first-degree robbery, first degree fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle, and receiving stolen property under $10,000.

Atkins says 28-year old Keith Kuzyk was arrested in Montgomery County Monday morning and is charged with first degree wanton-endangerment of a police officer, first degree wanton endangerment, first degree robbery, second degree assault, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, two counts of attempted murder of a police officer, receiving stolen property under $10,000, and first degree fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle. He was also charged with theft by unlawful taking – auto $10,000 or more but under $1,000,000 for the theft of the vehicle at the Waffle House.

Keith Kuzyk

According to Atkins, police received a 911 call about 1:34 Monday morning at Walmart on Clinic Dr in Hopkinsville. The victim reported to police that unknown suspects stole their Tahoe and fled the area, possibly accompanied by a black Ram truck. About an hour later officers observed both vehicles on Canton Street. One officer attempted to stop the Tahoe, while the other officer attempted to stop the Ram truck, but both vehicles fled.

Atkins says police lost the white Tahoe in the Clarksville area, and spike strips were successfully deployed on the Ram truck at which time the occupant of the truck begin firing at and striking the officer behind him.
He indicates both vehicles were later recovered – the truck in Hopkinsville and the SUV was recovered in Clarksville.

Around 8:30 Monday morning, police say another vehicle, owned by 38-year old Chad Craft of Hopkinsville, was stolen from the Waffle House on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville. Atkins says that vehicle was later spotted in Clarksville by Montgomery County and Christian County Sheriff Offices and a pursuit ensued with multiple agencies involved in the chase. Public Information Officer Sandra Brandon with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office told the News Edge Monday afternoon 28-year old Keith Allen Kuzyk was apprehended.

Brandon said they were notified of the shooting by authorities in Christian County who believed the suspect had fled into Montgomery County and requested mutual aid. During the investigation, she says they received information the suspect, later identified as Kuzyk, was possibly in the River Road area of Montgomery County. When deputies were responding to the area they spotted the suspect’s vehicle.

After Kuzyk was apprehended, Brandon says he was taken to the hospital to be medically cleared. She adds Kuzyk will be charged with felony evading and lodged in the Montgomery County Jail under a $100,000 bond and will be extradited to Christian County.
