Senator Westerfield Pleased With First Week Of Session

Senator Whitney Westerfield said he was glad to see some bills pass the Kentucky Senate during the first week of the 2019 General Assembly session.

Westerfield, who represents the 3rd Senate District, says he was pleased with the legislation that passed.

Westerfield says some work has begun on the pension issue, with an announcement expected soon on that subject.Lawmakers began meeting Tuesday and recessed Friday. The short session of the Kentucky General Assembly will reconvene Tuesday, February 5 and continue through February and March.
