A Logan County man flown to a Nashville hospital after a single-vehicle wreck over the weekend has died from his injuries.
According to a Logan County Sheriff’s Office report released Thursday, the wreck occurred around 11:15 Saturday night in the 2000 block of Old Greenville Road when the driver, 26-year old Cody Bilbey of Auburn ran off the road and hit an earth embankment, causing the car to overturn. Deputies say Bilbey’s passenger, 74-year old William Collins of Russellville was trapped inside the car.
Bilbey and Collins were taken by ambulance to Logan Memorial Hospital for treatment. Collins was reportedly flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries two days later.
