Man Charged With Trafficking 33 Grams Of Meth

A Hopkinsville man was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia Wednesday.

According to a Hopkinsville Police report, 20-year-old Steven L. Moody Jr. was arrested at an apartment in the 1200 block of East 18th Street after police went to the home to locate him on a warrant and smelled marijuana coming from inside when he opened the door. Police obtained a search warrant and reportedly found 33 grams of methamphetamine, baggies and a scale laying in the floor in the back bedroom.

Moody was lodged in the Christian County Jail. The jail’s website shows he is also charged with first-degree wanton endangerment.
