Swearing-In Ceremony Set For New Christian County Sheriff

 Christian County Sheriff-Elect Tyler DeArmond

The new Christian County Sheriff-Elect will be sworn in during a ceremony next week.

Judge-Executive Steve Tribble will swear in Tyler DeArmond Friday afternoon, December 28. He is being sworn-in a few days early because current Sheriff Livy Leavell announced earlier this year he was retiring at the end of the year.

DeArmond, who has served with the Hopkinsville Police Department the past 15 years, defeated Democrat Kahle Morris in the sheriff’s race in the November general election. DeArmond was recently hired as a deputy to make a smooth transition into the sheriff’s position.

The swearing in ceremony will take place at 4:00 in Judge Tribble’s office located at 515 Weber Street.
