The United Way of the Pennyrile is teaming up with Downtown Renaissance and small businesses on Small Business Saturday for the 2nd annual “Name Your Favorite Small Business” contest.
United Way of the Pennyrile President Annie Catron says they hosted the contest for the first time last year and had a great turnout of people voting for their favorite small business.
She says this year’s winner will also get bragging rights and some other recognitions.
Catron says their “Dynamic Duo” United Way goal is $806,000 and they are half-way through their campaign and half-way to reaching their goal.
If you would like to make a donation, Catron adds you can do so by visiting their website or by texting.
To show your favorite small business how much they mean to you, Catron notes it is super easy to vote — $1 buys one vote or $5 gets you eight votes. She says they will be taking votes from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 24, at the Farmer’s Market located at Founder’s Square in downtown Hopkinsville.
