EARLY WEATHER UPDATE

severe-weather-1-2
Today will be breezy with a band of rain moving across the region as the day wears on. The big issue comes on Monday with the severe weather threat. There is little change in the Storm Prediction Center’s outlook today from yesterday. Our area continues to be in an enhanced risk for severe storms for Monday. The potential still exists for significant severe weather to transpire Monday evening and night, from the lower MS Valley into the Tennessee Valley regions. A squall line and supercells are likely to develop along and just ahead of an advancing cold front by late Monday afternoon, initially over the lower MS Valley, then continuing east into the TN and OH Valleys including our region overnight. Impressive wind gusts along with tornadoes and hail will all be possible with these storms. At this time, everything should be clear of the area by the time polls open on Election Day. More updates later.
