Cadiz Preparing For Thousands Expected For Ham Festival

As the Trigg County Country Ham Festival takes place this weekend in downtown Cadiz, officials hope everyone will have a  weekend full of fun.
Cadiz Police Chief Chad Grace says they will close Main Street from the Highway 139 intersection to Brown Street at 2:00 Thursday afternoon.

Cadiz Mayor Todd King welcomes everyone to downtown and adds free shuttle bus rides will be available again this year on Friday and Saturday to help ease some of the traffic congestion.

The annual festival takes over Main Street for about 4 days, with the roadway re-opening Sunday. King says the sidewalk construction will still be going on during the festival.

Grace and King spoke on the WKDZ Country Club Wednesday morning.
