Grand Jury Returns Arson, Wanton Endangerment Indictments

The Christian County Grand jury returned indictments Friday on charges ranging from arson to DUI 4th offense.

22-year old Steven Micah Bridendolph was indicted for 2nd Degree Arson and Falsely Reporting an Incident. The Hopkinsville Police report says he was arrested in March after he reported his vehicle stolen in January and filed an insurance, but then admitted that he parked the vehicle on a rural road in Christian County and destroyed the vehicle by fire.

The grand jury indicted 26-year old William Cameron Webster on charges of Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, four counts of 1st Degree Wanton, and Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon. Hopkinsville Police reported Webster was arrested on March 29 at the Christian Count Justice Center after a shots fired call. Police said Webster was found in the driver’s seat of a vehicle in the parking lot officers found a small 9mm handgun shoved between the seat. Police determined Webster had a criminal history and was a convicted felon.

33-year old Justin Matthew Sanders was indicted on charges of 1st Degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Over 10 Dosage Units – Opiates), and Controlled Substance Prescription not in Proper Container from an arrest on March 21.

And, Alice Laverne Merritt was indicted for her 4th DUI with Aggravator, and Failure to Wear Seatbelts after she was arrested on March 28 while reportedly driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances. The indictment says Merritt has been convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances on at least three prior occasions.
