The man accused of setting fire to a Woodmill Road residence pleaded guilty Tuesday instead of going to trial. Jamal Perry entered the plea in Christian Circuit Court to an amended 2nd Degree Arson charge as well as the original three counts of Wanton Endangerment, 4th Degree Assault, No Operator’s License, and Possession of an Open Alcohol Container in a Motor Vehicle.

Perry will be released from jail pending his sentencing July 10. He was ordered to have no contact with the victims, to wear an ankle monitor, to pay $200 a month toward restitution, and to get no new charges.
