Young Hardward, Ebonite Among Compass Winners

Several staples in Hopkinsville and Christian County are being honored for their services. 15 businesses were recognized Thursday night during the Christian County Chamber’s Compass Awards Dinner. Catherine and Mac Arthur received a standing ovation when Antonio Rodriguez announced Young Hardware was the winner of the Sunset Award.

Ebonite International was chosen as the Century Award winner. The company celebrated its 50th anniversary in Hopkinsville last year making this the first year they were eligible for the award. New this year was the Friends of the Community Award, which went to Hopkinsville Police Department. Officer Mike Atkins has been one of those out in the community.

Davo’s Burgers and Fries Dave Saldana says the credit for the Food Service Award goes to his employees.
