Hopkinsville Museum To Close April 1st For Renovations

The Pennyroyal Area Musuem will be closing at the end of the month to begin a year long renovation process. Executive Director Alissa Keller says they have completed several years of studies and are now ready to redefine how history is told.

It will include new restrooms, lighting, and some roof repairs. The museum will feature free admission the last week of March as a send off of sorts and March 30 at 3:00pm Keller will do a presentation on the renovations. There is also a Bon Voyage party March 31.The Woody Winfree-Fire Transportation Museum will also be closed as items are moved from the Pennyroyal Museum to storage. It will reopen July 10.
