Three Charged With Using Forged Credit Cards

Three people have been charged with theft and other offenses after police say they used forged credit cards to make purchases at multiple convenience stores in Hopkinsville. 27-year old David Logan and 24-year old Raven Foster, both of Chicago, Illinois, and 29-year old Robert Wilson, of Homewood, Illinois, were charged with Theft By Deception – Including Cold Checks Under $10,000. In addition, Logan and Wilson were charged with 1st Degree Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

Hopkinsville Police report the three subjects were observed on camera going to multiple stores and buying several cartons of cigarettes and other items with credit cards. Police say the transaction would process but once the transaction was finalized the sale would not go through and the convenience store would not be paid. Officers observed a vehicle on Fort Campbell Boulevard matching the description of the one on the surveillance video and conducted a traffic stop. Upon search of the vehicle, police reportedly found fifteen forged credit cards in the passenger side front seatbelt slot with David Logan’s name on the front of them. Police say the cards were used in other theft by deceptions reported in the area.

All three subjects were arrested shortly after 2:40pm on Fort Campbell Boulevard at Laurel Cove Drive. They were lodged in the Christian County Jail.
