The Salvation Army in Hopkinsville will have its Shelter open 24 hours during this cold weather. Captain Jose Marquez says the shelter on East 7th Street will be available to anyone looking for a warm place during the day and night, space allowing.
He says the shelter will be open Thursday and Friday as well if there is no school. During the day, the Soup Kitchen will also be open.
He adds if anyone would like to help, it would be welcomed.
The Salvation Army will have its distribution day Wednesday as usual. He adds the Thrift Store opening will depend on workers being able to make it in. The Shelter can be reached at (270) 885-6006.
