Some good news for utility customers. Pennyrile Electric is reporting very few outages have occurred due to Winter Storm Hunter. Spokesman Brent Gilkey says the outages were caused by gusty winds, not icy conditions.
He says a tree fell on a line in Cadiz that knocked out power to a few customers, but power has been restored.
For the safety of their employees, he notes they will be closing their office at 2:00 Friday afternoon. If you need to make a payment, Gilkey says you can call in and use their automated system.
