Man Charged For Possessing Meth, Pills

Police say a Hopkinsville man was arrested on a warrant during a traffic stop Thursday night and for possessing drugs. The traffic stop occurred shortly after 10:45 at East 2nd Street and the railroad tracks.

Hopkinsville Police say 52-year old Mark Corby was a passenger in the vehicle and was seen by officers trying to destroy evidence so officers wouldn't find it. Corby reportedly resisted arrest after officers found him in possession of meth and narcotics. Police indicate he also had an active warrant out of Logan County.

Corby was lodged in the Christian County Jail for Tampering with Physical Evidence, 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine, 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance – Drug Unspecified, and Resisting Arrest.
