Mayfield Man Charged With Making Bomb Threat

Police say a Mayfield man has been charged with making a bomb threat at the Graves County Courthouse. Kentucky State Police report they were dispatched around 3:00 Wednesday morning after Post 1 Dispatch received a call from a local crisis hotline worker reporting a male had told them he had placed a bomb inside the courthouse. Troopers secured the area immediately around the courthouse and shut down roads in the area.

After an investigation, police determined there was not an explosive device inside the courthouse and reopened streets to traffic in the surrounding area.

Police report their investigation led to the arrest of 55-year old Robin Farley around 5:00am. He was lodged in the Graves County Jail charged with 1st Degree Terroristic Threatening, 1st Degree Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Kentucky State Police are continuing their investigation into the threat.
