Lynn Pryor Readies For Campaign Season

Commonwealth's Attorney Lynn Pryor kicked off her campaign over the weekend with the help of family, friends, and supporters. Pryor lined up several musical acts including long time friend Brice Long and the group Black Cat Cadillac. After mingling with the crowd she offered a few remarks but said she knew attendees didn't come to hear her give a speech.

Pryor was elected to the position 11-years ago and during that time says she helped implement local criminal justice programs such as the Rocket Docket, the Adult Drug Court, the Pennyrile Children’s Advocacy Center and the Hopkinsville Christian County Drug & Violent Crimes Strike Force.

Pryor jokingly said her campaign signs inspired her to wear red, a typically Republican color.

During her time as Commonwealth’s Attorney, she has served as President of the Commonwealth's Attorney Association and the Christian County Bar Association. In 2012, she was named Commonwealth's Attorney of the Year by then Attorney General Jack Conway. The Campaign Kickoff was held at Main Street Tavern.

Pryor is the 3rd District Commonwealth's Attorney representing Christian County. Though no one else has filed, former Commonwealth's Attorney Rick Boling has indicated he plans to run again.
