The Trigg County High School Juniors are selling strawberries for the TCHS Prom. The cost is $22 for 12 pints of very delicious strawberries. Last day to order is February 18th, and they should be available for pick up at Trigg County High School in early March. 3:00 PM - Christian County Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting to celebrate the opening of Hopkinsville Transit. The Hopkinsville Transit Dispatch Office at PACS, 1100 S. Liberty St., Hopkinsville, KY.

5:30 PM - 6:30 PM - A Ready, Set, Kingergarten Workshop at the Trigg County Primary School. This is a family program for any children that will be entering kindergarten in August 2015. There will be refreshments and fun activities for all who attend. There will be doorprizes for this session including: 2 - $100 Gift Cards as well as 8 - $25 Gift Cards to Hancock's Neighborhood Market.

8:00 AM - 6:00 PM - Christian Co. Road Dept. reports that the south end of the road crossing of John Rivers Rd. will be closed Friday, for installation of a new guard rail. 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM - A conference for grain producers in south-western Kentucky and north-central Tennessee will be held at the Logan County Extension Office in Russellville. This program will feature a variety of speakers from the University of Kentucky and University of Tennessee. There will also be commercial displays from area agribusiness and major farm input suppliers. There will be educational sessions on grain crop diseases and fungicide use, controlling herbicide resistance weeds, and much more. All area farmers and agribusiness pesonnel are invited to attend. The Logan County Extension Office is located at 255 John Paul Avenue in Russellville, which is located on the north side of town just off the US 68/KY 80 Bypass.

9:00 AM Meeting, and 6:00 PM Meeting - The Todd and Logan County Extension offices and USDA Farm Service Agency offices will be hosting two meetings to provide a general explanation of the 2014 Farm Bill commodity grain and oilseeds program and the process for signing up a farm in the program. The meeting at 9:00 AM will be held at the Pennyrile RECC Daysville Operations Center, and the meeting at 6:00 PM will be held at the Logan County Extension Office in Russellville. Pennyrile's Daysville Operation Center is located on the four-lane US 68/80 close to the Todd/Logan County Line.

7:00 PM - Join us for the first ever WKDZ/WHVO Heart Walk Variety Show, at Lakeland Jamboree, 61 Jefferson Street, in downtown Cadiz. It will be a fun night filled with lots of music - from Contemporary Christian to Southern Gospel/Bluegrass to Country & Oldies. Plus a little bit of comedy. Featuring the WKDZ/WHVO staff. Cost is $5 at the door - with half the proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association. Additional donations greatly appreciated. Sit back, relax, and  let us entertain you. Then give a generous donation and help us meet our $1500 goal for the American Heart Association. Also, we encourage you to put together your own team for the Heart Walk at Bradford Square Mall on February 21st.

Eagle Watch Weekend Tours at Kenlake State Resort Park. Tours begin boarding at 7:45am and leave at 8am. Yacht returns at 11:15am. In the afternoons, the Yacht boards at 1:15pm and leaves at 1:30pm. Yacht returns at 4:00pm. Van Tours are also available by calling 800-325-0143. Times above are for Saturday and Sunday. Guests should bring warm clothes, rain gear and binoculars.
