6:00 PM - Cadiz Baptist Church Christian Academy will host an open house in the Fellowship Hall of Cadiz Baptist Church. Christian Academy begins on Monday, August 11. There are only a few openings available, if interested, please call 270-522-6004.


August 10, Sunday

1:00 PM - Oak Grove Baptist Church will be hosting an early wedding shower for Ronnie Weeks and Casey Hyde. Their home was destroyed by a fire. Immediate need donations my be left at the church. Women's size  pant, medium top, shoe 9; men's 38x32 pant, XL shirt, shoe size 10. Layton size 7 clothes, shoe 13. Any questions, please call Bro. Paxton or Mrs. Chelsey or Andrea. Pastor Charlie Jones of Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church invites everyone to the Church Homecoming with Special Speaker Darrell Crawford from living Hope Baptist Church. A Noon Meal and Special Singing Afterwards with the Ridge Runners. Bring your whole family and join us for a day of Sunday School, Special Preaching, Meal and Singing.

The Hopkinsville YMCA and Celebrate Recovery have created a new partnership to bring recovery to hurting and broken people in Christian County. The YMCA and Celebrate Recovery are sharing a building located at 913 South Main Street in downtown Hopkinsville (across from Harper House and next door to Ferrell’s).

Celebrate Recovery is a Christian based 12 Step Recovery Program based on eight principles from the Beatitudes. Celebrate Recovery is free and open to anyone interested in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction, divorce, co-dependency and other addictions. Butterfly Boutique, 1631 South Main Street in Hopkinsville - a place for the women of Trilogy and their children to come and be pampered, ministered to, and shop for clothes that are all donated by the gracious people of Hopkinsville and Cadiz. Donations of womens clothings, shoes, accessories, clothing for children, as well as monetary donations, are greatly appreciated. This is a non-profit, and we rely on the community to help us serve and keep this ministry in motion. They have expanded their ministry to include the women and children of the Salvation Army, Trilogy, Sanctuary, Bethany House, and many other families in need. They need help with clothing, shoes, and accessories. The Butterfly Boutique operates solely on your donations of items and monetary donations (which are tax deductible). Visit the Emmanuel Free Gospel Thrift Store located in the old A1 Furniture Store, 6th Street in Hopkinsville. Store hours 9 AM - 5PM - closed Thursday and Sunday. They accept donations - for free pickup call James at 484-1740 or Donna at 987-2760.

Every Friday - 12 Noon - You are invited to join in a Prayer Circle for the City of Hopkinsville by the fountain at Little River Park.  Open to all who wish to participate.  The Prayer Circle will gather every Friday regardless of weather.

The Coffee CONNECTION has recently opened its doors at 910 South Main Street in Hopkinsville.  They will offer free coffee, tea, soft drinks, snacks and internet service.  Visitors are welcome to come in for quiet reading, kniting, or bring your group for a quiet meeting.  They will operate only on donations.

Lakeview Baptist Church has published a cookbook with over 500 recipes from some very talented cooks! Cookbooks are $15 - contact Robin at chubbs475@hotmail.com


Celebrate Recovery meets every Friday night at Edgewood Baptist Church, 2300 Cadiz Rd., in Hopkinsville, with a meal at 5:15, Large Group meeting at 6:30, and Small Group meeting at 7:30.   Childcare is provided. For more information call 270-886-4461.


The Compassionate Friends encourages those who have experienced the death of a child, grandchild or sibling to attend the monthly meetings the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Christian Co. Baptist Association Bldg. at 905 North Dr., Hopkinsville.
