General responsibilities are insuring optimum customer satisfaction, system profitability and smooth operation of the cable system or systems under his/her management.
Specific Responsibilities - Directs the activities of the system’s work force, prepares reports for analyzing operations, identifies problems, and recommends corrective solutions. Provides direction and guidance necessary to ensure efficient and cost-effective system operation, within approved operating and capital budgets. Directs marketing and sales activities to ensure maximum subscriber growth, retention and service. Ensures the delivery of high quality programming, system clarity, and service to maintain a favorable level of customer satisfaction. Ensures favorable relationships with all communities, residents of the areas served, and public officials to protect the Company’s franchises and permit profitable subscriber rates. Supervises employees; administration of EEO policies, hiring and termination practices and training, development, appraisal, and motivational techniques. Travels to all cable systems under his/her management as needed. Administers fairly all Company policies and procedures, both written and unwritten. Perform other functions as required or assigned.
Preferred Experience/Skills - Minimum five years related experience, including some administrative and/or supervisory responsibilities and exposure to marketing, engineering, and accounting. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Ability to organize, plan, motivate and control system’s overall performance. Management-oriented with the ability to perform professionally at this level. Up-to-date knowledge of technical developments in the industry. Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
The Christian County Chamber of Commerce, located in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, is in search of a Director of Finance and Operations. Application deadline is May 20, 2013.
SKILLS REQUIREMENT: The Director of Finance and Operations (DFO) shall have a degree in a field related to accounting and shall have extensive bookkeeping and financial interpretation skills. Strong knowledge of GAAP is also a must. Must be familiar with the mechanics of accounting software and the Microsoft Office programs. Must be able to lift 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
FUNCTION:
The Director of Finance and Operations is responsible to the President/C.E.O in all financial and operations matters relating to the Christian County Chamber of Commerce as outlined in the Financial Policies and Procedures. The DFO is responsible for executing all duties related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and payroll. The DFO is responsible for producing monthly financial statements in accordance with all board policies for multiple boards and entities. The DFO is responsible for ensuring that there is appropriate separation of duties and appropriate recordkeeping for the Chamber. In addition, the DFO coordinates the daily scheduling for the support staff and chamber operations, oversees coordinating facility and building management issues for the Chamber of Commerce, and supports the financial reporting needs of the Southwest KY EDC, Hopkinsville-Christian County Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Greater Hopkinsville Chamber Community Foundation.
