If you know of any woman currently undergoing chemo, please pass the word to her that there is a cleaning service that provides free housecleaning - 1 time per month for 4 months while she is in treatment. All she has to do is sign up and have her doctor fax a note confirming the treatment. Cleaning For A Reason will have a participating maid service in her zip code area arrange for the service. http://www.cleaningforareason.org/
The American Cancer Society's patient service program, Road to Recovery, is available for residents in Trigg County. The Road To Recovery program provides transportation to and from treatment for people who have cancer and do not have a ride, or are unable to drive themselves. Local volunteers are trained and screened by the ACS and donate their time and the use of their cars so that patients can receive the life-saving treatments they need. For more information or to make arrangements for transportation, call 1-800-227-2345. If you are interested in being a Road To Recovery volunteer, contact the same number.
