From the Weather Edge: Forecasters say isolated severe thunderstorms will be possible late Thursday afternoon into Thursday evening. The Storm Prediction Center has placed the area south of a line from just south of Paducah to near Owensboro under a slight risk of severe weather for that time period.

February and March:  The Pennyroyal Area Museum has on display a collection of African Artifacts from Kenya and Tanzania.  Items include ebony carvings, a chess set, bow & arrow, textiles, currency and more.  The collection is on loan from Hopkinsville resident Ron Hicks.

Aaron McNeil Food Pantry, 604 East 2nd Street in Hopkinsville is open Monday and Wednesday from 2 - 4 PM,  Thursday from 4 - 7 PM, and Friday 9 - 11 AM.  You must provide photo ID, proof of income including SNAP benefits and Social Security cards for all members of your household.  Donations of food may be dropped off at Aaron McNeil House, 604 East 2nd Street at the Campbell Street entrance, or call 886-9734 to see how you can help as a volunteer.
