An Illinois native, Carrie transplanted in Trigg County in 2003 and has been a part of the WKDZ/WHVO "hamcaster" team for much of the time since then. This is, however, not her first rodeo. Carrie has nearly 20 years of broadcasting experience in both radio and television, highlighted by morning show stints in Rockford, Illinois, the Chicago suburbs and Atlanta.
If you've listened for a while, you may have noticed Carrie's name change. Carrie and her husband, former Trigg County Superintendent of Schools Tim McGinnis, married ocean-side on the island of Maui October 6th, 2008. Together they share four beautiful children, Lacey and Clay McGinnis and Sam and Sadie Utter.
Carrie plays your requests and "e-quests" from 9 - Noon each day on WKDZ - call the Hotline at 270-522-1212 to hear your favorite country star or legend, or drop her an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also listen to Carrie on our Oldies station daily from 3 - 5 pm.
