Abramson Not Interested In KCTCS Position

While the search goes on for the new President of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, one man that many may have thought would be a good fit for the position now says he is not interested in the job. According to a report in the Lexington Herald Leader, Lt. Governor Jerry Abramson says he won't seek the position.
Abramson, who is also a former Mayor of Louisville, still had 18 months left on his term in office.  KCTCS is searching for a successor to Michael McCall, who will retire on January 15, after 16 years on the job. A new President of KCTCS is expected to be named in October.
