Providence Woman Injured In ATV Crash

Equipment malfunction is the suspected cause of an ATV accident that injured a Providence woman Saturday afternoon. State Police say 30-year old Tiffany Fletcher, was operating a Honda Rancher ATV westbound on Neisz Road, near Dawson Springs. Fletcher says the throttle became stuck, causing the ATV to accelerate to a high rate of speed. She lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway, striking a tree stump.

Fletcher and a passenger, 46-year old Ricky Vickery, of Princeton, were ejected from the ATV. Fletcher was transported to Baptist Health Madisonville for treatment, while Vickery was not injured. Neither was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, which occurred around 1:14pm Saturday.
