Crofton Man Wanted In Texas Arrested



A Crofton man wanted on charges out of Texas is now in custody and facing local charges following his arrest Thursday afternoon. According to the Christian County Sheriff's Department, deputies were initially called out a disturbance an attempted carjacking in the Crofton area. When deputies arrived on the scene, they were stopped by an individual who stated that 24-year old Evan Holloman had allegedly tried to forcibly take his vehicle and then ran under a train.

This came after Holloman had reportedly been involved in an altercation with his girlfriend. When deputies arrived on the scene of the reported attempted carjacking, they spotted Holloman and began chasing him, taking him into custody at his residence a short time later. He was arrested on charges of 4th Degree Assault, Disorderly Conduct, Public Intoxication, Alcohol Intoxication, 1st Degree Fleeing or Evading Police, 3rd Degree Assault, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and 2nd Degree Robbery.

After he was detained, it was determined that Holloman was wanted in Galveston, Texas, for assault on a public servant. He was taken and lodged in the Christian County Jail.
